Join Betfred’s Property & Development team as a CAD Technician! Shape real-world projects from fit-outs to new builds, verify and create technical drawings, and collaborate across disciplines. Travel, growth, and training opportunities included—CAD qualifications can be gained on the job!
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. Please note, there will be times where you are required to travel to Barnsley for training and exam purposes.

What you’ll do at work
- Assist in producing and verifying technical drawings for construction projects.
- Visit sites to collect measurements and assess design feasibility.
- Organise and maintain archived drawings and project documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to support project delivery.
- Interpret project briefs and apply design standards and legislative guidelines.
- Communicate technical information clearly using diagrams, BIM models, and written documentation.
- Prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and support the wider Property & Development team.
Skills & Experience
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

- The apprentice will study online with T3 Training & Development, based at The Business Village BBIC, Innovation Way, Barnsley, S75 1JL.
- Training will take place remotely, allowing flexibility to learn from the workplace or home.
- Sessions will be delivered regularly, combining practical skills with structured online learning led by industry experts.

Other requirements
Applicants must be comfortable travelling to various sites within Betfred’s property portfolio and occasionally working in environments where PPE is required. A full UK driving licence is preferred for site visits. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is required from day one.
