As a key member of the team, the Building Host plays a prominent part in creating a welcoming environment for all colleagues and visitors as well as assisting the Building Manager in running the reception area, ensuring it is always presentable and functioning efficiently.
Overall, the Building Host undertakes a pivotal role in maintaining Glassworks' reputation through exemplary front of house services, thereby enhancing the overall experience for both occupiers and visitors.
This role is advertised for 24 hours a week, working over three days, Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:30
Responsibilities
- Delivering a positive customer experience within the building
- Be the first point of contact for all visitors and customers
- Support and facilitate events and meetings within the building
- Host and manage meeting rooms and the tenant lounge, maintaining a high standard of presentation, and undertaking light cleaning duties in designated areas
- Support customers to make connections with each other
- Have the confidence to take ownership of a range of building issues
- Manage and allocate posts to the relevant tenants
- Ordering Stationery/beverages, tea, coffee, etc.

Skills & Experience
What you’ll need to succeed
- Skills and experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service
- Motivation and positive attitude
- Someone who will go above and beyond for customers
- Excellent communication skills and able to communicate with people at all levels in a friendly, engaging way
- Proactive approach to work
- Able to embrace and evidence Betfred's company values
- Experience with appropriate IT Systems, including Microsoft Office
- Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
