Overview

This role is all about reconciliation and bank statement processing, ensuring the accurate and timely administration/completion of the process in line with company policies and procedures.

Being able to act responsibly and work confidentially are essential requirements for this role and the successful applicant will need to be able to work effectively both independently and in a team

Responsibilities

·      Daily monitoring of all bank accounts and creation of bank payments and transfers ready for approval.

·      Preparation of Daily Banking Report to report bank balances and cashflow forecast to Senior Management.

·      Preparing daily bank journals to ensure that all bank account entries are accurately posted in a timely manner.

·      Issuing periodic bank downloads and liaising with Business areas to clear unknown items.

·      Management of the Retail shop encashment process, liaising with Area Teams and shop staff to ensure all requests are properly authorised and processed.

·      Liaising with the relevant Bank to organise cash passes to allow staff to collect funds for Floats / large customer payouts when required.

·      Maintaining the Bank Mandates for the shops bank accounts, ensuring this kept up to date with timely removal of staff that have left the business.

·    Liaising with Shops to ensure that all shops have the correct banking stationery, (Paying-In Books, Change Cards and Cheques) to support Retail Cash Management processes.

·      Daily management of the Cashiers mailbox to ensure that all payment requests (inc cheques) are promptly and accurately actioned.

·      Completion of monthly bank reconciliations for designated bank accounts, using Aurum Reconciliation software and maintaining proper back up records.

·      Ensure any receipts received are recorded and banked on a timely basis.

·      Organise and maintain Direct Debits and Standing Orders

·      Assistance in audits (internal/external) providing information requested in timely manner.

·      Point of contact for all bank queries

·      Ad hoc duties as required
