The Office Services team are the ambassadors for the Betfred flagship head office based at Birchwood. 

As a key member of the team, the Cleaning Manager plays a prominent part in creating a welcoming environment for all colleagues and visitors, leading the cleaning team to maintain impeccable standards in all areas of the building, and ensuring the office environment is always presentable.

The Cleaning Manager undertakes a pivotal role in maintaining Betfred's reputation through exemplary hygiene standards and impeccable office maintenance, thereby enhancing the overall experience for both employees and visitors at the Betfred head office.

 

This is a full-time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the cleaning team to ensure all scheduled tasks are carried out on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • ·Direct line management of a team of 4 cleaners including scheduling shifts, approving holiday requests, conducting appraisal reviews and creating individual development plans
  • Ensuring all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) are maintained and updated
  • Carrying out stock takes and placing orders
  • Following Health and Safety regulation, ensuring all cleaning products are accounted for and securely stored
  • Owning the cleaning schedule and reviewing regularly to ensure that all tasks and responsibilities are carried out at appropriate times during business operations
  • Performing cleaning duties alongside the team
  • Operating cleaning machinery such as dishwashers and scrubber/dryer, providing training to the team to ensure safe and efficient use of equipment
  • Maintaining own health and safety training, including COSHH, and ensuring training is kept up to date across the team
  • Reporting any issues or repairs to the Property team
  • Working in collaboration with the Office Manager to maintain a safe and clean working environment for all colleagues
  • Working with the Office Management team to support colleague engagement events, ensuring adequate cover is scheduled

Skills & Experience

What you’ll need to succeed:


  • Previous experience managing a cleaning team is essential
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks as required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, acting as a brand ambassador
  • Proactive approach to tasks with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands
  • Be thorough and pay attention to detail
