Overview
From humble beginnings on the shop floor to becoming a world-renowned bookmaker, Betfred has been on a remarkable journey and we want you to be part of this fantastic innovative business. Established in Salford, Manchester, 1967... we started with a clear and simple vision: to provide the ultimate betting experience for our customers. Today we have evolved and pride ourselves in delivering unparalleled entertainment experiences worldwide.
Whilst a lot has changed over the years, we have always stayed true to our roots. Our story started in retail and while it remains the heart of our business, we have also embraced the digital landscape. With over 1300 shops we continue to play a vital role in local communities across the UK while expanding our presence online.
Our Compliance Department plays a vital role in ensuring that Betfred continues to uphold its regulatory obligations and licensing objectives across both the Digital and Retail businesses.
We are seeking a Compliance Support Analyst to support the Heads of Compliance (Digital and Retail) and the wider compliance teams in delivering day-to-day compliance activities, reporting, and oversight. This role will help ensure the effective management of compliance risk, the timely implementation of regulatory changes, and the smooth coordination of key compliance processes across both channels.
The position offers a varied workload, covering data analysis, report preparation, monitoring, and administrative support across all areas of compliance.
Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day administrative and analytical support to the Heads of Compliance for Digital and Retail.
• Assist with the collation, preparation, and submission of compliance reports, dashboards, and regulatory notifications.
• Support the tracking and delivery of compliance projects and actions arising from audits, regulatory reviews, or internal governance meetings.
• Maintain and update key compliance registers and logs, including incidents, breaches, and regulatory correspondence.
• Monitor and analyse compliance-related data and customer trends to identify potential risks or areas for improvement.
• Support the delivery of regulatory reporting obligations via the Gambling Commission’s e-services and other regulatory portals.
• Assist in the review and drafting of compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Provide support in the administration of key compliance policies such as self-exclusion, safer gambling monitoring, and licence condition tracking.
• Coordinate cross-functional tasks between Retail and Digital teams, ensuring consistency and timely completion of shared compliance objectives.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather data, clarify findings, and assist with internal and external audit preparation.
• Support communication and awareness initiatives to promote a strong compliance culture across the business.
• Undertake other administrative or analytical duties as required to enable the Heads of Compliance to focus on strategic and regulatory matters.
This list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake additional duties, not listed, that are considered reasonable and are aligned to your role.
We are dedicated to promoting safer gambling practices to ensure a responsible and enjoyable experience for all our customers.
