We are Betfred and we are here to ensure our customers are able to enjoy betting or playing any of our products in a fun and safe way. Offering extensive Sportsbook, Gaming, Casino, Bingo and Lotto options, every customer can find something to take part in! About the team

Our Customer Service Teams based in Birchwood are there to support and develop relationships with our customers’ that ensure we are the chosen betting provider for them. Being passionate about delivering great service and getting it right first time, means that we are always listening to our customers with a view to improving everything we do.

 

Start dates available from January 2025. We are looking for two permanent positions and one twelve-month maternity cover

 

Training hours and location - Training is based on-site (Birchwood) Monday-Friday for 2 weeks.

 

Shift pattern - We work on a rotational shift pattern. With all our shifts these do require being in the office full time, following the successful completion of training.

 

The shifts are 8.5 hours, 5 days over 7, and from 7.45am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 7:45am – 8pm Sunday

Responsibilities

About the role

You will play an active role in servicing our customer queries on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that accounts are kept up to date and we adhere to our regulatory responsibilities.

 

Working in a fast-paced environment and across many areas of the Betfred business, the role provides an opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a demanding and challenging environment, whilst still being focused on delivering best in class customer interactions. We love to speak with candidates from customer-facing backgrounds with a positive approach to learning new things, or someone who has curiosity about our industry.

 

  • Providing customers with a professional and friendly service via telephone and email.
  • Resolving all customer account queries efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Liaising internally with other departments to resolve customer queries.
  • Ensure that any escalations are raised promptly and correctly to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Remain up to date with current promotional campaigns, rules, and procedures.
  • Support shop staff in their role by assisting with a variety of contacts on a day-to-day basis.
  • Understand fully and comply with the key objectives of the Gambling Commission and to be fully aware of your responsibilities regarding Social Compliance and Licence Conditions Codes of Practice.
  • An understanding or interest of the betting and gambling industry would be an advantage but would not prevent the ideal candidate being successful as full training is given

Skills & Experience

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Be 18+ and have the right to work in the UK.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to engage all customers.
  • A passion for sports, betting and gaming is beneficial but not essential.
  • An eagerness to learn, develop and flourish within the Betfred family.
